In League of Legends, Hecarim is currently the strongest jungler. However, this could change with the next patch 11.9. Riot Games announces nerfs for Hecarim, the item “Turbo Chemtank”, and some other items and champs in LoL. 11.9 will be the update during which the important “MSI” tournament will take place. The patch is expected to come to LoL next week.
This is the situation:
- In LoL, Hecarim and Udyr currently dominate the selection among jungle specialists: They inherently have increased movement speed. With the item “Turbo Chemtank”, they became even faster: The combination of tank and movement speed makes them so strong
- A few days ago, Riot Games announced they were considering nerfing Hecarim or the item “Turbo Chemtank” in the next patch – but it was still unclear what they would do
- Now it is clear: Riot Games will nerf Hecarim and the item
These are the nerfs: The balance lead at Riot Games for LoL is currently still Mark “Scruffy” Yetter. He will transition to the new LoL MMORPG in June to serve as Design Lead. However, Scruffy is still involved with LoL. He published a patch preview for the MSI Patch 1.19 on Twitter.
For the items, LoL now nerfs the two movement speed items Chemtank and Dead Man’s Plate.
Buffs will come for Moonstone Renewer, Death’s Dance, and Wits End.
The following champs will be nerfed:
- Hecarim
- Morgana
- Diana
- Dr Mundo
- Rumble (In the Mid Lane)
- Vlad
- Jinx – as a bug will be fixed that will weaken her
- Gragas
- Heimerdinger
- Garen
In the next patch, the following LoL champs can look forward to buffs
- Kindred
- Shen
- Xerath
- Kog’Maw
- Taric
- Lulu
- Trundle
- Kayn
- Sett
Update 21.4., 9:04 AM: The exact details of how the items and champs will change have now been provided by Riot Games:
For Turbo Chemtank, the buff for movement speed decreases from 60% to 40%
The adjustments to Hecarim are extensive and affect his armor, bonus damage, his W skill, and his E skill.
Patch 1.19 is expected to come to LoL next week
When is patch 1.19 coming? It will come soon. Riot Games states this is the MSI patch: The “Mid Seasonal Invitational” will take place from May 6 to May 22.
The new LoL patch is planned for April 28.
This year, the MSI will have to do without the “usual suspects” from Europe. Because they were eliminated early:
