A few days ago, Riot Games launched the new champion selection in League of Legends (LoL). We could get it tomorrow.
In other regions, it started a few days ago. However, the mix of champion selection and queue caused such severe problems on our EU-W server that Riot had to disable the champion selection again. While everything went smoothly on North American servers, some days had to be spent on a software and hardware update for the European servers.
This also postponed the IP bonus event.

After several tests were conducted over the weekend, the dynamic queue for EU-NE has already been reactivated. Riot will observe how stable it runs during “Prime Time” there. If everything works as desired, the dynamic queue will be reactivated for all other regions early Tuesday. Then we will also enjoy the new system in LoL.
Once the queue is activated, there will also be an official statement about when the IP rewards (up to 450% more IP per game) will be available.
Confirm your champion selection – what you should know about the new system
In the new champion selection, it is important that you click on “Lock in” after you have selected your champion. Simply selecting a champion and letting the time run out is no longer sufficient. If you do not confirm your champion with “Lock-In”, you will be kicked out of the queue and receive a time penalty. But don’t worry, as seen in this video, this happens to the “best” as well.
