A leaked video shows the new League of Legends champion Kayn or Rhaast, who are something very special together.
Apparently, there will soon be some variation in League of Legends if we look at the latest leak of the MOBA. A video that was quickly removed shows the new champion, who apparently consists of two personalities that share the same body.
One character is called Kayn and looks like a shadow assassin, the other calls himself Rhaast and wields a large scythe as a weapon. In the video, you can get a first impression of the characters. (Excuse the poor quality)

New Champion Kayn – Abilities
Riot has now officially introduced Kayn after the leak. The following background story is told to us by the developers about the new champion:
Shieda Kayn’s achievements in the field of shadow magic are unmatched, and he constantly fights to fulfill his true destiny – to one day lead the Order of Shadows into a new era under Ionian rule. Although he knows that Rhaast, a living weapon of the Dark, is slowly but steadily corrupting his mind and body, he leads her unwaveringly and boldly. There seem to be only two possible endings: Either the weapon bows to Kayn’s will … or Kayn is completely consumed by the malevolent scythe, paving the way for the complete destruction of Runeterra.
Passive: Scythe of the Dark
- Kayn wields an ancient weapon and struggles with Rhaast, the Dark one within him, for control. In every game, one must fall to the other. Kayn improves his shadow abilities by hunting ranged fighters, while Rhaast quenches his thirst for blood in direct confrontation with the opponent. If Kayn wins the confrontation, he ascends to the rank of shadow assassin. If Rhaast emerges victorious, he takes possession of his host and takes charge.
- Shadow Assassin: Deals additional magic damage during the first seconds of combat against champions.
- The Dark One: Heals for a portion of magic damage dealt to champions.
Q – Scythe Whirl
- Kayn jumps forward and hits enemies near his target position. Both the jump and the hit deal normal damage. Scythe Whirl deals additional damage to monsters.
- The Dark One: This ability deals additional damage to all enemies except minions as a percentage of their health.
W – Blade Strike
- Deals damage in a straight line, significantly slowing all hit enemies.
- Shadow Assassin: Leaves a living shadow that performs Blade Strike in Kayn’s place. The blade of the living shadow has a greater range.
- The Dark One: Blade Strike knocks hit targets up briefly.
E – Shadow Step
- Kayn gains temporarily increased movement speed and can pass through walls for a short time. When he enters a wall, he heals a bit, and the duration of Shadow Step is greatly extended. If Kayn is in combat with enemy champions, the duration is not extended.
- Shadow Assassin: Gains additional movement speed upon activation of Shadow Step and is immune to slowing effects.
R – Dark Haunting
- Kayn can invade a nearby enemy he has just dealt damage to. During the Haunting, Kayn cannot be targeted for a few seconds. If the ability is activated again during this time, the effect ends prematurely. Kayn then frees himself from the victim’s body and deals high damage.
- Shadow Assassin: Dark Haunting can be cast from a distance and resets the additional magic damage from Scythe of the Dark after Kayn leaves his victim.
- The Dark One: Dark Haunting deals additional damage equal to a percentage of the target’s maximum health and heals the Dark One.
