In League of Legends, the new Patch 11.3 will be released next week. This will primarily weaken junglers, both in items and some champions directly. We reveal what changes exactly.
What happens in Patch 11.3? On Twitter, Gameplay Design Director Mark Yetter shared details about the new patch. Notably, many strong junglers will be weakened:
- The champion Ivern has had the highest win rate of all junglers since Patch 10.25. With a 54.92% win rate in games, he is particularly strong in Patch 11.2 (via OP.gg).
- Following him are the champions Olaf (54.86%) and Elise (54.4%).
- Additionally, the junglers Rammus, Pantheon, Udyr, and Taliyah will be affected in the patch.
In addition to the champions, some jungle items will also be weakened, including Goredrinker, Sterak’s Gage, and Deadman’s Plate.
This could significantly shake up the jungle meta and strengthen other champions.
When will Patch 11.3 be released? According to the current rhythm, Patch 11.3 should be released on February 3, 2021.
Olaf will feel the nerfs the hardest
What exactly changes for the junglers?
- Ivern will now receive 85 health instead of 95 with each level-up. Additionally, the shield from “E” at maximum level has been reduced from 220 to 200.
- Olaf’s base health will be reduced from 597 to 575. Furthermore, his attack speed will now increase only from 0 to 70% based on missing health instead of 0 to 100%.
- For Elise, the damage from “Q” in human form has been reduced from 180 to 160. The attack speed from “W” in spider form has been reduced from 60 to 140% to 60 to 100%.
- Udyr’s damage from the aura of his ability “R” has been reduced from 50 to 300 to 50 to 275.
- Rammus’ cooldown on “E” is now permanently 12 seconds. However, a larger rework for Rammus is planned in the future.
- Taliyah’s movement speed will be increased from 12 to 40% to 20 to 45%, but her “Q” will only deal 80% damage to monsters after the first hit instead of 100%.
- Pantheon will now deal only 70% damage to monsters with his “Q”. Additionally, the cooldown will increase from 10 to 13 seconds at the start.
What changes for the items used by junglers?
- Deadman’s Plate now provides only 400 health instead of 475.
- Goredrinker will now heal only 8% instead of 12% of missing health.
- The shield from Sterak’s Gage is reduced from 200 to 100. Additionally, the duration has been adjusted from 5 to 4 seconds.
What does this mean concretely? The changes hit the champion Olaf particularly hard. In nearly every item build, he relies on Goredrinker and Sterak’s Gage. In the late game, one will especially notice the lack of attack speed and healing from Goredrinker.
Other junglers also lose strength, but none as significantly as Olaf.

These champions benefit from the changes
Although the adjustments with Patch 11.3 primarily target junglers, not all of them are negatively affected. We reveal 3 champions who could take the lead in the jungle.
Graves: The new patch has virtually no effect on Graves. He is not only one of the strongest but also one of the most popular junglers in the game.
Since he primarily builds AD items, he is unaffected by the changes to the items; on the contrary, Immortal Shieldbow, his mythic item, even receives a slight buff of 5 AD and 5% attack speed.
Skarner: Skarner is currently ranked 4th among the most successful junglers in Patch 11.2 (via OP.gg). He is also hardly affected by the update. Only Deadman’s Plate has been regularly built on him.
Skarner is currently a rather unusual jungler. He is chosen in only about 1% of all games and is banned even less often. It is possible that he will experience a rise with Patch 11.3.
Evelynn: Evelynn is right in the middle among junglers in nearly all areas, whether it be picks, bans, or win rate. However, the upcoming nerfs do not change anything for her.
Her strongest counters, Rammus and Udyr, will both be weaker in the new patch, which automatically strengthens Evelynn.
No nerf to Moonstone Renewer
The biggest surprise in the upcoming patch is the lack of adjustments to the item Moonstone Renewer. This support item dominates so strongly that it is even used with some champions on the top lane, mid lane, and in the jungle.
Although there is a minimal adjustment to the Staff of Flowing Water, which makes the mythic item even better, the missing 10 AP will hardly make a difference.
Additionally, the item Imperial Mandate will not be weakened. That is the reason why Maokai is currently so popular:
LoL: Maokai dominates right now as a supporter – the reason is an item
