Runes for Neeko – Which skill setup is good?
Your summoner spells should always be Flash and Ignite or Flash and Exhaust!
We have three different rune pages for you, based on what you (or your team) needs:
High Damage: If you need to deal a lot of damage quickly in your lane, these runes are recommended. Electrocute can be triggered very quickly, which can lead to a lot of damage at the beginning.
Poke: If you can’t play too aggressively and need to poke your opponents, the Comet is recommended. Additionally, thanks to the biscuits, you can stay on the lane longer.
Utility: If your team doesn’t bring much crowd control, Glacial Augment is a good choice. This way, you can slow down your opponents, and thanks to Magical Footwear, you can help better in other lanes.
Neeko Build in Patch 13.10
Skill order: R>E>Q>W
Start with your W ability so you can uncover bushes with your clone at the beginning and deal extra damage to the opponent with every third attack.
At level 2, put a point in your E, at level 3 in your Q, and then maximize your E ability to increase your root duration to 3 seconds.
If you need more damage, start as before with your W, then a point in your E, three in your Q, and then maximize the W ability.
What items should you buy?
- Spellthief’s Edge: The best support item for Neeko.
- Everfrost: Provides you with an additional way to better hit your ultimate alongside your E ability.
- Sorcerer’s Shoes (consider swapping with Mercury’s Treads or Ionian Boots of Lucidity)
- Zhonya’s Hourglass: You need to be close to the enemies for your ultimate, so the hourglass can help you survive.
- Morellonomicon: Reduces your opponents’ healing. If they use very little healing, you can swap Morellos for a Banshee’s Veil.
- Watchful Wardstone: Gives you a lot of extra stats plus the ability to carry more red wards.
3 quick tips for Neeko
- Use your passive ability as often as possible! Disguise yourself as minions, wards, or even plants to surprise your opponents.
- If you use Flash + E very quickly in succession, the ability will be cast from your new position.
- Be careful with some transformations because you’ll stand out immediately! As Kalista, for example, you can’t hop when you attack.
Teamfights: In teamfights, you should always try to hit as many opponents as possible with your W ability to hold them (keep in mind that the first opponent you hit will be held for a shorter duration). Always try to hit as many opponents as possible with your ultimate, but ideally always the carries of the opposing team!
