Riot Games introduced the next new champion for League of Legends at the roundtable. The new champion is named K’Sante and is classified by LoL as a Guardian. He brings a part of Shurima that players have not yet explored: The city of Nazumah.
What is special about the new champion? After the champion was announced in April, K’Sante finally comes with a mechanic that is very related to his story. As the Hunter and pride of Nazumah, he fights against the greatest monsters of the desert region.
With the materials that the hunters collect from their expeditions, they were able to build the city of Nazumah. They established the city at the only water source for miles. In addition to the infrastructure, they also built weapons. K’Sante’s weapons are unique and called Ntofos.
Ntofos are huge, blunt weapons that can be used defensively. But K’Sante has the ability to break them at any time, unleashing finely crafted blades that can shred any opponent in an instant.
K’Sante himself describes himself as an invincible character: “My ancestors built Nazumah. No god, king, or beast could defeat them, and no one will defeat me.”
Here you have the new trailer for K’Sante:

What does K’Sante bring? To understand the champion, one must break him down from his ultimate ability. With the R ability, K’Sante destroys his special tonfas. The sticks turn into carefully crafted blades, and he goes “All-out”.
As he destroys his blades, he pushes back his opponents. Opponents who hit a wall are thrown over that wall and are briefly stunned. While K’Sante is going “All-Out”, he loses a percentage of health, armor, and magic resistance.
In return, he gains attack damage, omnivamp, and transforms his remaining abilities. K’Sante thus becomes a duelist and deals significant damage. After some time, his weapons regenerate, and he falls back into his guardian role.

Regarding his additional abilities: Through the ultimate ability, we need to explain both the tank variant and the damage version of K’Sante.
Fearless Instinct: His passive ability marks opponents for a short moment. Once he hits the opponents a second time, he deals normal damage. Additionally, he deals a percentage of physical damage based on the opponents’ maximum health.
In his “All-out” form, he instead deals physical damage and additional true damage with the second hit, depending on the opponents’ maximum health.
The Q ability, Ntofo Strikes: With an attack from his tonfas, he slows the hit opponents and collects a stack. With 2 stacks, he releases a shockwave and pulls opponents towards him. In his “All Out” form, the cooldown is reduced, and he does not slow his opponents.
The W ability, Pathmaker: This ability has received two instances. In the first instance, K’Sante raises his weapons defensively in front of him, becomes unstoppable, and reduces his incoming damage.
Once his ability is reactivated, he sprints forward. In doing so, he pushes opponents back and stuns them briefly. Opponents he passes by receive percentage-based physical damage.
In his “All out” form, the cooldown resets, the damage reduction is increased, opponents receive additional bonus damage, and the attack and sprint are twice as fast.

The E ability, Footwork: When you activate this ability, you gain a shield and sprint for a short distance. You can jump over walls to an ally. The distance is then increased, and you also give your teammate a shield. Other abilities can also be used during the sprint.
During his “All out” time, the sprint speed is increased. Additionally, K’Sante can also jump over walls and has an increased range.
How does the champion play? The combination of the defensive guardian abilities and his potential as a duelist allows K’Sante to flexibly fit into many different team compositions.
This way, you can be alone on the top lane and exert pressure there, or play with your team. Teammates can then position themselves behind K’Sante. However, he always has the ability to destroy his weapons and duel an opponent in an ultimate fight.
If you have always wanted to try the top lane, then this is your chance. With K’Sante, you have the opportunity to provide your team with the necessary endurance and, if needed, take down a foe or two by yourself.
