New teaser images provide a first glimpse of the new champion likely coming to League of Legends (LoL). This would be the first new champ in LoL 2019.
What’s new? The lore website of the MOBA League of Legends now features 4 new teaser images related to a new champion and Demacia. The new LoL champion is likely to use golden chains.
New LoL Champion – Teaser from January 2019
This is what happened: League of Legends has a “universe” filled with stories about champions and places for lore-interested players.
New images have appeared in the area of Demacia. Under the heading “A Look into Demacia” there are four new images associated with a new LoL hero.
Demacia includes the heroes Lux, Garen, Jarvan IV, and also Galio. You can see them in the teasers. We show you the images here in the gallery:
- The first image shows Lux, whose arms are bound in golden chains
- The second image shows a character sitting on a throne. Long, golden chains extend from them. In the foreground is probably an ultimate ability of Jarvan IV
- In the third image you can probably see Galio, who is descending from the sky, trying to hold her. She is also entangled in golden chains
- The fourth image illustrates how Garen uses his ultimate “Demacian Justice” on a character with a crown. Garen himself is held by the golden chains
The images leave a lot of room for interpretation. So far, the LoL developers have not provided a deeper explanation for these images.
The community speculates about this character
On Reddit, the images are already being actively discussed.
User Luzac writes that after Lux, Jarvan IV, Galio, and Garen were defeated and Jarvan III is dead, the lore is finally moving forward. He suspects the new champion could utilize the abilities of bound champions.
Other players suspect that the new hero may be able to copy and use the ultimate abilities of other champions. Because in all teaser images, one would see the ultis of the champions.

However, it is agreed that one must expect anything after the Jhin teasers.
