In League of Legends you can even get RP (Riot Points) for free. With the Microsoft Rewards system, you can secure free RP. We show you how to do it.
What’s new? For League of Legends, you can now receive “unlimited” Riot Points for free. This works with “Microsoft Rewards”, a rewards system for anyone with a Microsoft account.
Usually, you buy Riot Points in the shop for real money or receive them at events, in stores, or as gift cards from streamers. With Riot Points, you can buy skins, wards, icons, and more. Through Microsoft’s rewards system, you can earn points without spending money.
How to get free Riot Points
How it works: First, you need a Microsoft account. If you don’t have one yet, you can register on the linked page.
Then visit the Microsoft Rewards website (via rewards.microsoft.com). In the overview with the Riot Points, you can choose between two goals:
- 100 Riot Points cost you 1,500 points
- 650 Riot Points cost you 6,500 points
Set one of these as a goal. Then go back to the overview page with the points systems. Here you can now earn points with quizzes and other activities. You can then exchange them for Riot Points. The tasks usually only take a few minutes and are easy to solve.
Anyone who spends a little time there and fills their points account can use the earned Riot Points to unlock skins and other content for League of Legends for free. 650 RP equals a purchase price of 5 €. So you can really save money.
On Twitter, the League of Legends account confirmed that there is no limit to this. It’s said that you can receive unlimited RP.
Is it really “free”? You pay no money to collect the Riot Points through the rewards. However, Microsoft collects data about you and your search behavior when you use, for example, the Bing search engine to answer one of the questions in the quizzes.
