On November 10, the final of the LoL-World Championship 2019 took place. And it started with an impressive show featuring Augmented Reality. The audience was totally thrilled and celebrated the strong animations.
What was happening at LoL? On November 10, one of the most important events for League of Legends this year took place. The final of the World Championship between the teams G2 Esports and FunPlus Phoenix. From this event, Riot Games created a massive show that none of the viewers will forget anytime soon. Before that, a player teased that his opponents were just lucky.
This is how the show went: After the audience was warmed up by the warmup, music known to the MOBA fans followed. First, Valerie Broussard performed the song Awaken (watch here on YouTube). Viewers praised the strong performance of the singer as well as the staging by Riot Games.
After this strong start, the group True Damage took the stage and performed the song “GIANTS”. Here, champions like Akali, Ekko, Qiyana, Senna, and Yasuo were portrayed in the stadium with animations and embodied by singers on stage. The singers include Soyeon from the girl group (G)I-dle, Duckwrth, Thutmose, Becky G, and Keke Palmer.
Big AR Show for the Final
Following the exciting performance by True Damage, Cailin Russo and Chrissy Costanza took the stage to perform “Phoenix”.
The singers are initially alone on stage in the first minute, but are then joined by additional performers.
In the center of the stage stands a performer who initially fights alone against the blades of the champion Irelia. These are animated and visible to the audience. A strong performance begins between the dancers on stage and the animated blades.
