On November 19, T1 became world champions and Faker secured his fourth world title against Weibo Gaming with a clear 3:0.
Now the T1 players were able to choose which champion will receive a new special skin for Worlds 2023. Faker is known for hardly ever playing with skins. He rarely plays even with a skin and prefers the standard form of his champions.

Faker decides against Ahri, now chooses Orianna
Faker changed his decision regarding the skin for Worlds 2023 again, causing a wave of disappointment among the T1 fans. Originally, Faker had announced that he would remember his fourth title with Ahri. However, in a recent stream, he revealed his choice: Orianna.

With three Worlds skins in the past (Syndra, Ryze, Zed), Faker has a variety of mid laners to choose from. The rule states that players can only choose skins for champions they also played during Worlds.
Some LoL players celebrate the announced change, but others, who are fans of Ahri and were hoping for the skin, are expressing disappointment. Ahri is one of the most popular champions in League of Legends and has now counted 17 skins, including Prestige skins, which is really a lot.
This is exactly what Faker argued. His choice fell on Orianna because Ahri already has a considerable number of skins. In contrast, Orianna has 11 skins. It could also be a reason that Orianna has no legendary or Prestige skin – even though the Worlds skins have never been legendary skins so far.
