In League of Legends the Worlds are starting this week and Riot Games has some loot that you can earn through the event. We at MeinMMO reveal what is available and how you can get it.
What loot is available? Through the Worlds, you can earn a lot of loot. To do this, you need to participate in the prediction game and watch live, as some content is only available through so-called loot drops.
Through the Worlds, you can receive the following:
- Lots of Blue Essence
- Random Champion Shards
- Hextech Chests + Keys
- Minion Symbols
- Discount Codes for Partners
- All 5 Ultimate Skins
- Exclusive rewards like a gaming laptop or $2,500
However, for the last two prizes, you need to have a real streak in the prediction game and predict all the results correctly. All information about this can be found here.
LoL Prediction Game for the Worlds
What is the prediction game? You can find the prediction game on the official LoL website. In this game, you predict the correct results step by step:
- Group Stage: Predictions and missions will be unlocked on October 1 at 01:00 CEST and will be disabled on October 3 at 08:00 CEST.
- Quarterfinals: Predictions and missions will be unlocked on October 12 at 01:00 CEST and will be disabled on October 15 at 08:00 CEST.
- Semifinals: Predictions and missions will be unlocked on October 19 at 01:00 CEST and will be disabled on October 24 at 08:00 CEST.
- Finals: Predictions and missions will be unlocked on October 26 at 00:00 CEST and will be disabled on October 31 at 07:00 CEST.
Just for making the predictions, you will receive 500 Blue Essence each for the group stage, quarterfinals, and semifinals, as well as a one-time Champion Shard, and in the finals, a Hextech Chest along with a key.
If you also predict correctly, you will earn points respectively. There are levels that you can reach, each unlocking a different icon.
The perfect run: If you predict absolutely all results correctly, the following rewards await you:
- All five ultimate skins (see image above)
- An exclusive Aurora gaming station from Alienware, as used by the pros at the Worlds
- An exclusive “Area-51M R2” gaming laptop
- An exclusive prize pool of $2,500
Detailed information about who is eligible for the prizes and how they will be raffled off is not available yet. However, they are expected to be found later on the prediction game page, and we will update them accordingly.

Loot Drops for the Worlds
How to receive loot drops? To get the loot, you need to log in on lolesports and unlock it. After that, you must watch the games live via that same website. If you have received loot, you will see it directly at the top right edge.
What can you get as loot? As rewards for watching, you will receive:
- E-sport capsules for the 10th anniversary
- Personalized Hextech Chests from sponsors
- Minion Symbols
- Discount codes from sponsors
- Exclusive music content from LoL partners
- Ward skins and stickers
- World Championship tokens
- Blue Essence, depending on the number of games you have watched
- Each loot also includes an exclusive collectible artwork that you can view on the rewards page
Some of the rewards are not available in certain countries and some are rarer than others. However, the developers have not provided detailed information on this.
World Battle Pass and Symbol Packages
What about the Battle Pass? In line with the Worlds 2020, you can buy a pass for 1,650 RP which includes 200 new World Tokens and 4 World Orbs.
For 2,650 RP, you also receive the new Dragonmancer Skin for Sett (see title image) in a bundle.
However, the PsyOps event with its own pass and special rewards is still ongoing until September 30.
Symbol packages for the teams: Additionally, during the Worlds, there are new symbols (250 RP) and stickers (350 RP) of each team in the shop. You can buy these, with 50% of the proceeds going to the respective team.
Furthermore, you can buy Mastery LeBlanc. 25% of the proceeds from this skin will be distributed to the participants of the Worlds.
