Riot has been receiving a lot of criticism for its pricing in League of Legends. Both the Mythic Chromas and the Ahri Faker skin have been criticized for their high prices. This doesn’t seem to stop Riot, as in the next patch there will again be €200 skins.
Which Mythic variants are involved? In the next patch 14.17, of course, new skins will be released again. Battle-Queen skins are making a return once more. This time, Gwen, Miss Fortune, Annie, and Fiora will receive new skins. There will also be new Mythic variants for God-King Darius and God-King Garen.
As with the controversial Jhin skin, the Mythic variants for these skins are again only available through the Gacha system. With a lot of luck, you might pull the variants from loot boxes, with a chance of 1%. If you open 30 boxes, you are guaranteed to get the skin. This costs around €200, when looking at the prices of 30 boxes for the Chroma Admiral Battle Bunny Miss Fortune.
At least you do not need the original skins to use the Mythic variants. Many players like the new variants, even if many are upset with the Gacha system again.
Scam or visually appealing?
How does the community react to the new variants? The basic design of the new God-King variants is liked by the community. Especially Darius as the enlightened knight and Garen as the fallen one. However, the pricing is labeled by many as scam
when looking at the comments under the skin preview on YouTube.

Riot’s new monetary strategies have been criticized by many players for quite some time. The peak of criticism was reached with the special Ahri skin, designed for Faker.
