32-year-old Carlos “Ocelote” Rodriguez is the CEO of G2 Esports, one of the most important eSports teams in Europe, dominating in European League of Legends. The former midlaner in LoL is known for his loud and fiery appearances: He recently posted a video on Twitter showing him celebrating with Andrew Tate. For this, he must endure a lot of criticism, even from his own favorite player, Perkz.
What did Ocelote do? The CEO of G2 posted a tweet on the afternoon of September 17 with the text: “Yesterday we celebrated G2’s world championship”:

What most people find worst: In a YouTube video, Tate said he decided to move to Romania because it is less likely there to be prosecuted for rape.

How is the criticism directed at Ocelote? The video of the celebration is being controversially discussed. Users say:
- Weird to hang out with a known womanizer, to be honest. Fits the “G2” brand; or?
- Wait, Carlos, you must be joking, right? You’re better than that?
- A user on Twitter has tagged all the major brands G2 collaborates with, asking if they also support “misogyny”? Partners include BMW, Logitech, Red Bull, Adidas and many more.

However, some users defend Ocelote: After all, Tate has not been convicted.
What is Perkz’s criticism? The player Perkz was the face of G2 in LoL for years and was always considered a kind of “adopted son” of Ocelote. Perkz also criticized G2’s appearance on Twitter with a “vomit” emoji and a meme (via perkz).
In response to the demand that he needs to come back to G2 and lead the company as CEO, Perkz replies: He was already there, had won 9 titles, had recruited 7 players, and made G2 profitable on his own.
