In the lead-up to Season 13 of League of Legends, the developers are testing new items in the game. However, a bug has occurred on the test server that has banned innocent players. The players did not know what they did wrong, but they could no longer access the game. Riot Games was able to recognize and correct the problem in a timely manner.
What was the problem?
- Riot Games has encountered bugs during the Worlds that could be game-changing.
- The new update on the test server has led to innocent players being banned.
- There are many new items and objects in the preseason 13 that will accompany further adjustments in the jungle and top lane.
- Players believed it was a bug with the item “Heartsteel”.
- Many players were banned without knowing the real reason:

Players are being unbanned – the problem apparently lay with Riot
Riot has a fix for the problem: After many players were banned for using a “third-party tool” or a “cheating program,” they are now backtracking. They can dismiss the theory on Reddit that it was related to the item “Heartsteel” (via Reddit).
They have fixed the error and unbanned the banned accounts. Riot Games will now focus on the accounts that were banned due to this error and reverse it.
The bug is likely related to a spell issue. The problem stems from an error in the code where Riot’s anti-cheat program intervened. As a result, many players were unjustly banned.
New tank item brings infinite health points, hits hard
What kind of item is this?
- Heartsteel is a new mythical item for 3,200 gold that grants health points and health point regeneration, as well as some cooldown reduction. Previously, the item was called “Goliath’s Ascendancy”.
- It has a special passive ability: You can execute a strike that is stronger the more maximum health you have.
- Additionally, your champion permanently gains health points. You will become increasingly powerful and tougher. Experts call this “infinite scaling”.
- However, there is one good thing. The item has been put under special focus, and Riot Games is now working on adjusting the “scaling” before it comes to the live servers.
What happens now because of this? All in all, everyone is glad that the problem does not occur on the live server and ban many players there. So the developers at Riot Games still have enough time to fix this error and other bugs from the game and prepare for preseason changes on the live servers.
In the video from “RossBoomsocks” (via YouTube), the content creator discusses that the anti-cheat program is looking to automatically unban the players again, but it might also be that some players need to be unbanned individually.
