In League of Legends there are also some iconic pro players in Europe. When thinking about ADCs, Rekkles is a well-known name in the scene. He last played for the team Fnatic, but changed his position this year. Now he is leaving the team and will remain without a new team for the time being.
Who is Rekkles?
- Swedish pro player who has been playing in the professional LoL scene since 2012
- Has been playing professionally for over 10 years and was considered an ADC talent for many years
- In 2018 he played in the finals of the Worlds and reached the quarter-finals in 2017 and 2019
- At the beginning of the year, he switched to the support position but ended up on the bench
Now he and Fnatic announced on Twitter that he is leaving the team. He does not have a new contract with another team yet. However, he wants to continue playing in the professional scene.
Rekkles leaves Fnatic
On Twitter, Martin “Rekkles” Larsson just announced that he is leaving Fnatic. As he says in the tweet, he is without a team for the first time since 2012, which is the start of his career in the pro scene. He is currently scared
, but also excited
, as his future is uncertain, but also anything is possible.
His dream would be to continue playing as a support in the LEC, the European league. He has trained for 5 months for this. He can imagine playing as an ADC again, but he believes he would be better suited in the support position. However, since his role change, he has not played any professional games.

Furthermore, he explains that all his decisions have always been driven by the thought of winning, whether people liked working with him or not. He also describes himself as stubborn
. In the end, he thanks Fnatic for the opportunity he was given, and he looks forward to the future chapter of his career
.
These statements also fit the reputation Rekkles had:

Fnatic also posted something about this on Twitter. They thank him for his work as part of the team and as a true Fnatic legend
. They wish him the best for his professional future. Whether that works out with his support career remains to be seen.
Rekkles sounds rather optimistic in his tweet about his further League of Legends
career. Earlier this year, however, he did not sound as hopeful regarding his career choice and the game during a stream as he does in his current announcement:
