In League of Legends apparently, there is cutthroat competition behind the scenes. The 28-year-old professional Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu played for Rogue for 2 years, even becoming the champion in the LEC in 2022, but had to leave the team now. He believes he became a victim of a conspiracy by his manager. Particularly bizarre: The manager allegedly told other teams that they didn’t need to contact the professional. He is going into retirement anyway after this year.
Who is Odoamne?
- The Romanian has been playing LoL in the top lane for ages and has been a professional since 2013. From 2018 to 2020, he had a turbulent time at Schalke 04, playing there for 2 years. However, Schalke could not keep him: They sold their professional license in 2021 out of financial necessity after the football team was relegated from the Bundesliga.
- But for the Romanian, leaving Schalke turned out to be a stroke of luck, as he landed at Rogue, when they were having a phenomenal phase: In the summer of 2022, Rogue even became the dominant champion in the LEC, with Odoamne in the top lane. Rogue won the final 3-0 against G2 after previously eliminating MAD Lions and Fnatic.
- Odoamne had a great season with a KDA of 6.42, especially in the Spring Split; only 2 of his teammates from Rogue and the statistical powerhouse Upset were stronger.

How has Odoamne fared after the championship? The Romanian surprisingly switched from champion to “Excel ESports,” who had only finished sixth last year. So, a sporting downgrade for the Romanian.
In 2022, he had already complained that Rogue hadn’t even tried to extend his contract (via dotesports).

Odoamne says he played the best LoL of his life last year, stronger than ever before. He felt like he had finally arrived as a professional.

It’s hard to believe that the Romanian made such serious allegations in an official broadcast; such statements would be expected in a podcast – actually, the ball is now in Riot’s court to act. Riot should actually sanction the manager who lied about Odoamne’s career ending.
Apparently, the fans’ anger is directed at Rogue’s manager (now KOI), the 33-year-old Bulgarian Tomiaslav “flyy” Mihailov. However, there is no statement from him regarding the accusations that the top laner has made against him.
