In Fortnite the latest patch 1.4 has robbed players of their bases. They don’t find it funny, and compensation must come. Players want Llamas – especially the power users.
With the latest patch 1.4 in Fortnite, all home bases have been reset, except for those in the beginner zone Steinwand. But everything in Plankerton, Bru-Tal, and Twine Peaks is gone.
The bases had to make way for renovations on the maps. For balance reasons, the maps were redesigned. To avoid conflicts, the developer Epic reset the player bases.

As “compensation”, Epic placed materials back into the Storm Shield storage of the players.
If you go to the Storm Shield in your home base, where you usually start the mission, there’s a tab at the top labeled “Storage” where you can access the materials.
It will be a pile of raw materials and the traps you built in your base.
Hey man, where is my base? – The wipe came without warning
Particularly annoying about the wipe: It came without warning. Because Epic had left out the part with “You are about to be homeless” from the patch notes. They forgot that one. In the future, Epic promises to send players a warning when something like this happens. However, there will not be a complete wipe of all progress.
Now, the base wipe isn’t a big problem for “regular players”. Fortnite just started a few weeks ago, and those who play moderately haven’t invested much time in building their advanced bases yet.
Thousands of resources built, countless hours invested
But it hits the hardest fans of Fortnite hard.
On Twitter, power users complain about what they have lost and show overflowing Storm Shield storage, which seems mocking. It’s like smashing someone’s huge LEGO land, throwing them 8 wheelbarrows of stones, and saying: Have fun rebuilding.
The hardest cases are probably these: You can see that storage is overflowing with built materials. Thousands of resources have flowed into the base. Players say they had spent up to 50 hours hunting for the base believing it would be permanent.
The demand is clear “Llamas plz” – these are the loot boxes in the game. Let’s see if Epic will relent here and offer Llamas as compensation.
Other players, by the way, see the situation much more relaxed. After all, the game is still in early access – one should expect this kind of thing.
