The cooperative shooter Livelock fully emphasizes action.

In an interview with mmorg.com, Lead Designer Kein Neibert spoke about his baby. It has had a kind of maiden voyage at PAX East. About 1200 people played it at the fair, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Some queued multiple times to chase the high score on the leaderboard.
At the beginning, the game was more oriented towards “action RPG”, but then it was found: “Players spend too much time in the inventory managing something. This disrupts the flow of combat!” Even though it was heavily inspired by traditional action RPGs: Livelock is, at its core, an action shooter. This was then emphasized more, RPG elements were simplified, and action was brought to the forefront.
Livelock is set to release on August 2 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
