Perfect World announces a sci-fi co-op shooter called Livelock for 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, the visuals are more reminiscent of Diablo 3 than Destiny.

The Asian giant Perfect World is actually known in Europe for free-to-play MMOs like Star Trek Online or Neverwinter. However, the latest project, Livelock, is set to be released as a buy-to-play title. The fresh title is marketed as a “remarkable, intuitively playable shooter for single players and friends who play online together“.
Livelock will be released simultaneously on the three major platforms in 2016 – no further details have been provided. Perfect World Europe is already eager to translate Livelock into German while incorporating “unique local features.” The video already offers a first taste with rustic shooter meta-humor like “U mad, bro?”, “360 No Scope … with headshot” and “Are you from the tutorial?”.
A bit unusual for a “co-op shooter”: they have opted for a top-down perspective. As a result, the game feels more like a competitor to Diablo 3 or Marvel Heroes than a rival to Destiny, Borderlands, or The Division.
