The big Pokémon GO festival in Dortmund has started! In this live ticker, you will see all the new information about the event, pictures from the venue, and updates on the global challenge.
What is being done here? Throughout the weekend, we will keep you updated here about the GO Fest. Here you will receive information about the special research, the spawns, the admission, and of course about the current status of the global challenge that is running worldwide.

9:00 AM – Twitter user RaZzi has published a map showing where in Westfalenpark each Pokémon can be found.

6:00 PM – The GO Fest is closing its gates for today. Tomorrow at 8 AM new players will come to the venue and can hunt for rare Shinies.
5:22 PM – As Niantic stated via Twitter, Team Intuition has solved 2.4 million field research tasks today. There is still a long way to the 15 million!
5:09 PM – In keeping with the GO Fest, the Raid bosses have changed a bit. You will find 4 new bosses in the raids. We will show you an overview:
3:37 PM – By the way, there are also special eggs to hatch at the GO Fest. You will find many Pokémon that you can also find in the habitats. The shiny chance also seems to be increased.
2:06 PM – The first update on the global challenge is here! After 4 hours of the event, no team has broken the 1 million field research tasks yet. By Sunday, each team must have completed 15 million research tasks.

11:32 AM – There are new Raid bosses in the game. Trainers report that Magnezone is to be fought as a level-1 raid. It remains to be seen whether this is a mistake. You will soon find the complete list of Raid bosses on MeinMMO.
11:08 AM – The Icognito at the GO Fest venue form the words “WAKE UP!”. You will also encounter the rare exclamation mark Icognito there.
10:51 AM – Coinciding with the GO Fest, a worldwide event has been running since 10 AM. So far, 17 Pokémon have been confirmed to be spawning more frequently. These include Raupy, Sandan, and Girafarig. You can find a complete list here:
10:26 AM – Niantic has once again summarized the most important details about the event via Twitter. There you can see when admission starts each day and what else there is to discover.
10:00 AM – Now the GO Fest starts for every player who has a ticket for Thursday. Moreover, the global challenge begins for all players worldwide.
Each team must complete 15 million field research tasks to unlock the XP bonuses. Additionally, there are now Shiny Nidoran male available to catch worldwide.
9:27 AM – Every player hoped to get the Shiny Evoli from the new special research in Dortmund as an Evoli with a flower crown. However, this is not the case. Although Evoli with flower crowns spawn in Dortmund, only a normal Evoli can be obtained as a Shiny from the special research.
8:46 AM – The first players have already caught Shiny Nidoran male. Worldwide, the new Shiny will be introduced at 10 AM, while in Dortmund it is already available.
8:25 AM – On Twitter, players are already actively sharing pictures from the GO Fest. There are again Flunkifer in the wild, and the entire Westfalenpark is full of PokéStops with lure modules.
8:00 AM – The big GO Fest in Dortmund has started! The gates are open, and the first trainers can play. Niantic also announced Shiny Nidoran for the fest and worldwide. This is comparable to Seeper, which was introduced at the GO Fest in Chicago.
The global challenge starts at 10 AM. Then players worldwide can also participate and unlock a large XP bonus.
