How can women turn gaming hobbies into careers? On International Women’s Day, 10 women from the industry will share more about their career paths, the opportunities, and the challenges that come with it.
Here’s what it’s about: Those wanting to start in such a large and diverse industry as gaming can easily feel overwhelmed at first, especially when the industry is considered male-dominated.
On International Women’s Day, in connection with the “Girls & Gaming” initiative of our YouTuber network allyance, we are hosting a talk round on the streaming channel MAX about “Making a career as a woman in the industry”.
How can I establish myself as a woman in gaming? What soft skills are needed? And what opportunities exist at all? Many think of pure programming when it comes to game development, but the gaming industry has become so much more than that.
In the relaxed and interactive talk round, women from the industry will answer questions about their work and give tips to women and girls who want to establish themselves in gaming.
The program includes:
- Block 1: What is the gaming industry and how did you get there? + short Q&A

- Block 3: What jobs are available in gaming and what do you need to succeed in the industry? + short Q&A
