Lineage Eternal is coming to beta in Korea soon, but nothing is known yet about a West release. However, according to a data miner, half of the game is already translated into English? A good sign for a soon release in the West?
Lineage Eternal will start its closed beta in South Korea on November 30, but those who want to participate from here will have to wait. But how long? Publisher NCSoft remains silent about a West release and hasn’t even confirmed whether the action MMO with Diablo gameplay will actually be released in the West – apart from old commitments.
However, there now seems to be evidence that a West release date might be closer than expected.
English Texts in the Code?
Since the clients of Lineage Eternal could be downloaded before the beta start, numerous data miners have put on their virtual digging helmets and delved into the depths of the code. One of them is said to have made a curious discovery: Almost half of the texts in the game are already available alongside the Korean originals in English!
This statement comes from a Russian data miner who posts under the name “MuxaHuk” in the War Thunder forum goha.ru. The user also posts numerous pictures and other things from the game there, so it looks relatively credible – but you can’t stake your life on it.
If this is actually true, it would mean that Lineage Eternal has already taken a big step towards a West release. Perhaps the beta will also start soon in Europe and North America? According to NCSoft, the final release is supposed to happen globally and still in 2017. Nevertheless, the report – like all datamining stories – should be taken with caution.
Jürgen says: Wow, if this is true, then Lineage Eternal could actually appear here sooner than I had assumed. On the other hand, this is only logical, because if NCSoft really wants to release the game simultaneously worldwide, an international version must be ready soon. Otherwise, valuable testing time will be lost, and the game will be released here full of bugs. And NCSoft certainly doesn’t want that for their AAA mammoth project.
