Diablo Immortal stays true to the series and lets you play a sort of tutorial up to level 60. Only after that does it really start and the difficulty increases. MeinMMO gives you the right tips here in the guide for leveling quickly from 1 to 60.
In the action RPG Diablo Immortal, you must go through a long leveling phase before the real endgame starts at level 60.
To get to the heavy and fun contents quickly, you will find here on MeinMMO the right tips to level up fast – if you want to. The guide is divided into 4 sections:
- Tips for fast leveling
- Overcoming XP wall – Solo & Group
- The 3 best classes for leveling with skills
- Activities you should avoid
To become stronger, legendary gems are crucial. You can find more about that in the video:
Diablo Immortal: Leveling Guide for Max Level 60
How long does the leveling phase take? You should expect at least 25 to 30 hours to reach level 60. Tends to be even more.
How do I get to level 60 quickly? In Diablo, the speed of your progress also depends on how much experience you have with the series – how pain-free you are already.
While beginners like to smash every opponent that crosses their path, veterans usually tackle only large groups of enemies or bosses in the zones. If at all. If you are still reading along with the story, the time until level 60 may easily double.
If you want to progress quickly, make it clear right away: You rush through the instances at full speed and quest texts are just a necessary evil in progress.
Leveling tips:
- Play the campaign quests
- Don’t get distracted/stopped
- Activate auto-loot
- Take one of the best classes for leveling
- Use the movement ability from level 15
- Take the best gear
- Ensure long killstreaks
- Keep an eye on the codex
- Use bounties and shadow faction
- Check out the bestiary
We explain the individual points to you below in a short paragraph. You can go directly to the next section “Level up – Solo & Group” here directly.
- Play the campaign quests
Always prioritize the campaign quests. They advance you the most. If you reach a point where you need a higher level for the next quest area, check the next section.
- Don’t get distracted/stopped
Don’t spend time on monsters or activities in the large, open zones. You might not be able to resist a treasure goblin or world boss, but otherwise, run straight to the target. Maybe even use auto-navigation.
- Activate auto-loot
In the menu, you can set what kind of loot you automatically collect when you walk over it. This saves a lot of time.
- Take one of the best classes for leveling
Crusader, Demon Hunter, and Barbarian are the best suited for leveling. Further down, you’ll find the appropriate skills for the 3 classes for leveling. If you don’t like your leveling class, there is now a class switch feature:
- Use the movement ability from level 15
No matter which class you use – use the new ability at level 15. This is a so-called “movement ability,” which gives you a different speed boost depending on your class.
- Take the best gear
In Diablo Immortal, you can transfer gear upgrades. Good gear ensures that you progress faster through the content. Don’t spend your gold with both hands, but treat yourself to equipment upgrades here and there.
- Ensure long killstreaks
When you engage in a fight or blaze through a dungeon, ensure long killstreaks. Every hit from your group on a monster extends the countdown until the killstreak expires and each killed monster in the streak gives a bonus on the experience points gained.
- Keep an eye on the codex
Regularly check the notifications on the left to see if you have completed something in your codex or if a task requires you to do more than what the campaign offers. You complete many tasks during the campaign, but it’s worth going a step further here.
- Use bounties and shadow faction
Always accept bounties and daily tasks. Opportunities often arise to complete these tasks “on the side.” But don’t get too distracted from the campaign – it always brings the most. The shadow faction also offers strong daily tasks.
- Check the bestiary
Every now and then, take a look at the bestiary. You collect creature orbs during your adventure, and with 10 of them, you unlock a random creature in the bestiary, which gives you a nice portion of extra XP. But don’t specifically look for the orbs for leveling.
Leveling Guide: Overcoming XP Wall – Solo & Group
It often happens that you can’t play the campaign quest in a new area yet because your level isn’t sufficient. You then receive a corresponding quest, for example: “Reach level 35.”
Here you can find a separate guide for the XP walls in Diablo Immortal:
At this point, you can claim the rewards for the battle pass. They often give you a whole level per stage and quickly advance the process. Otherwise, solo and group players should go different ways:
- Solo players
Avoid activities with group search, such as dungeons. Check your codex and play bounties or daily tasks for leveling. If necessary, side quests that are still pending can also be done.
Further opportunities for solo players arise from the elder portals. If you play this activity without emblems and specifically target the special enemies indicated in blue on the map, you’ll progress quickly. Once you’ve explored the portal and defeated all the enemies marked in blue, teleport back to town and start the portal again.
You can see how it works here in the English video (from 1:50 minutes):
- Group players
If you have a strong group, you can go through dungeons together, gather high killstreaks, and thereby gain a lot of experience points. The best dungeon for leveling is “Forgotten Tower” – it can be entered from level 20.
Leveling Guide: The 3 best classes for leveling with skills
Crusader, Demon Hunter, and Barbarian offer you the best damage paired with strong skills to quickly eliminate many enemies at the start. Use the following abilities of the classes from level 15:
- Barbarian – Level Build
- Bloodbath
- Whirlwind
- Ancestral Hammer
- Sprint
- Whirlwind
- Demon Hunter – Level Build
- Crossbow Shot
- Daring Swing
- Multi Shot
- Vengeance Rain
- Suppressive Fire
- Crusader – Level Build
- Punish
- Shield Charge
- Strike
- Quartering
- Heavenly Execution
For a look at all classes, you can find a video with gameplay:
Leveling Guide: Activities you should avoid
Finally, here are the activities you shouldn’t pursue in your fast leveling phase:
- Elder Portals with emblems
- Focus of the portals is on gear, not on experience points
- Mini-events in the zones
- Bring significantly fewer experience points compared to other activities. Hidden Hordes are hard to find, for example.
- Not farming for the bestiary
- Although unlocks in the bestiary bring a lot of XP, leveling through it is far too inefficient
- Side quests
- The yield from small stories outside the campaign is too low
- Bounties in crowded zones
- Bounty missions are generally strong XP providers, but not in overcrowded areas. Sometimes it takes forever to encounter enough suitable monsters.
Leveling in Diablo is a thing. You get to know the game in this phase, get used to the mechanics, and get an overview.
But for experienced players, this is usually tedious, and if the story doesn’t interest you, then “speeding through” is the best way to quickly reach the top activity in the endgame. This is where the game really begins.
