The Twitch streamer Hugo “LetsHugo” Goedert sometimes has a somewhat clumsy way. He initially didn’t want to show his face in public, but then two mishaps happened to him, forcing him to show his face in a third attempt.
In his new podcast “ROCK BOTTOM,” which he recently started with his Twitch colleague Mike “Wichtiger,” Hugo talks about his beginnings as a Twitch streamer.
In the second episode (on YouTube), Hugo discusses his face reveal and how he initially didn’t want to show himself at all. However, due to two mishaps, he was practically forced to do so.
We present you the story of LetsHugo in our video:
“That was my cousin”
The first mishap: On New Year’s Eve, Hugo was streaming with his colleague Wichtiger. The two had turned on a camera, and while Wichtiger intentionally showed his face to the community, that was not planned for Hugo.
Hugo was wearing a mask, sunglasses, and a hat. In addition, he had a headset on, which would lead to his downfall. The Twitch streamer did a dab and accidentally pulled his headset down, causing it to slip down over his face and pull his mask down.
The viewers immediately took a screenshot, and out of panic, Hugo went offline right away. He says, “I still have that screenshot in my head. When I see it, I feel so bad” (via YouTube).
After that, he instructed Wichtiger to delete his VOD, the video recording of his stream, so that this scene would not be available on the internet.
After that, Hugo only did a few streams for a week. “I was basically just gone for a week because I was completely messed up. I was mentally dead because I didn’t want to show myself” (via YouTube).

The second mishap: During the second real stream that Hugo did, the second mishap occurred. Outside of the stream, Hugo set up his camera, but it had a glitch and was showing a still image of what it had last recorded. That was a shot of Hugo’s face.
The Twitch streamer started his stream and switched scenes. The camera now showed its still image, which was Hugo’s face.
Again, Hugo quickly went offline and announced to his community: “That was my cousin” (via YouTube). Hugo believes that for some reason, his viewers believed him.
Finally, along with the now former Twitch streamer Simon Unge, Hugo did an “official” face reveal. He then posted the accompanying video on his YouTube channel. This way, no further mishaps could happen to him.
The streamer LetsHugo is one of the biggest in German Twitch. He streams almost daily and participates in many events and shows. So it’s no wonder that he needed a break some time ago because he suspected he was heading for a burnout: “My last sign of life. For now” – Twitch streamer retreats from the public eye
