The MMORPG Legends of Aria (formerly Shards Online) is taking shape. The final alpha is starting soon.
Legends of Aria is considered by fans to be what many imagined as an unofficial successor to the classic Ultima Online. The gameplay mechanics are reminiscent of UO, as well as the freedoms and generally the feeling that you can do whatever you want in the vast world.
However, the PvP system differs from the original Ultima Online. In Legends of Aria, PvP is only possible in specific areas.

New is also the city of Valus as an additional starter zone. Here you can experience your first adventures in the sewer tunnels or in the graveyard. In addition, you trade and meet with other players to form groups and explore the large area.

The exploration of the world is designed to be exciting. You will continually find interesting places where there is something to experience. Among them are teleportation towers that you must unlock for fast travel.
The developers explain that the final alpha of Legends of Aria offers a huge amount of new content. Players must experience this themselves to realize that the MMORPG has become a well-rounded game.
At the end of the year, the Early Access phase is expected to start, which is essentially considered a beta. A release of Legends of Aria is planned for 2018.
