Allimania is getting a reboot. The story of Horst and the chaotic guild is being completely rewritten.
There are a number of jokes and inside references that you only understand in World of Warcraft if you have been around for many years. Especially on German realms, there are still often comments that you only understand if you heard the story of “Allimania” many years ago.
Now the legendary audio play is getting a reboot and is being completely rewritten.

What is Allimania? The audio play by Steve “Stevinho” Krömer, Allimania, tells the story of the somewhat clumsy human warrior Horst, who during his first day in the WoW game world finds a group for questing and shortly thereafter founds the guild “Allimania”. Together, they then experience various adventures, most of which are based on early events in World of Warcraft. For example, the heroes have to “stand in line” for several hours to finally be let into Alterac Valley.
If you have ever encountered a druid named “Miracoli”, a night elf priestess named “Uschi”, or a gnome warlock named “Dimitri”, then the characters were most likely inspired by Allimania.
Allimania has a very quirky yet iconic humor that is likely to evoke many nostalgic memories for long-time WoW fans.
Why is Allimania being rebooted? According to his own statements, Stevinho has been working on the complete reboot of Allimania for several months and the production of the first episode is almost finished, while work is already being done on the second episode in the background. On Stevinho’s Blog says:
“The goal remains: to completely reset Allimania and retell the whole story – more contemporary and with less toilet humor.”
Additionally, many jokes from the old episodes simply no longer make sense today. There are many quests or mechanics in the game that Allimania often refers to, which no longer exist. But that’s hardly surprising, after all, WoW has changed significantly in nearly 20 years.

Cortyn says: I was quite pleased with the announcement. Allimania is firmly associated with my first WoW memories. Staying up all night (still mostly secretly) to listen to “WoW Night” was always a highlight, crowned by the new episode of Allimania.
However, it is indeed true that it is difficult to recommend Allimania to “new” players today. The quality of the microphones was, due to the times, very poor. Compared to the last episode “Allimania 20” from 2015, the discrepancy is already gigantic. Also, the criticized “toilet humor” feels a bit out of place today and I am sure the series will manage well without the jokes.
