In Pokémon GO the “Search for Legends” event has started. It brings you Shiny Nasgnet, new field research tasks, and exciting raid bosses. Here’s an overview.
How long does the event run? The Search for Legends event runs until March 14 at 8:00 PM local time. You can benefit from the bonuses for just under a week.
The event introduced Shiny Nasgnet and other rare Pokémon will appear in the wild. You can find an overview of the bonuses here:

We will now mainly take a look at quests, raid bosses, and the individual spawns and tell you what you should take advantage of.
Spawns and Quests for the Search for Legends
These are the new quests: Matching the event, there are now 6 new field research tasks that will bring you event Pokémon. They include:
- Catch 5 Steel-type Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Nasgnet (can be Shiny)
- Earn a candy by walking with your buddy
- Reward: Encounter with a Nasgnet (can be Shiny)
- Use 5 Power-Ups on Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Nasgnet (can be Shiny)
- Catch 5 Rock-type Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Kiesling (can be Shiny)
- Win a raid
- Reward: Encounter with a Panzaeron (can be Shiny)
- Use a smoke
- Reward: Encounter with a Schilterus
There are a total of 3 field research tasks with the new Shiny Nasgnet. So it’s definitely worth doing these quests. The quest around Kiesling is just as good. This Pokémon is extremely rare outside of events and many players might still be missing a Shiny.
These are the spawns: Generally, the spawns are quite strong. Digda and Kleinstein in their Alolan forms appear fairly often in the wild. Additionally, there are spawns of Puppance, Nasgnet, Kiesling, and Tanhel, which are otherwise encountered quite rarely.
So it’s worth doing a few rounds during the event, as you will encounter some Pokémon that are otherwise rather uncommon.
