In Fortnite, the next crossover could be happening soon, and according to leaks, it might take place with the comic series Family Guy. But what can we expect? We will show you what has already been found.
This is what’s happening in Fortnite: In Season 5 – Chapter 2, several crossovers are taking place in Fortnite. This is because Agent Jonesy is assembling a crew made up of characters from various universes. They are meant to guard the Zero Point together.
Through these crossovers, we have already seen some characters from The Walking Dead, Terminator, Predator, and Tron.
Now, clues have been found that could indicate the next crossover.
Back accessory and image files found
These clues were found by data miners: Leakers like GMatrixGames have searched the data of Fortnite and found a few interesting things. There is a back accessory that has been codenamed “French Fry”. Additionally, they found image files associated with the back accessory:
Where do the image files come from? The image files come from various scenes of the comic series “Family Guy”. Among them is the iconic fight between Peter Griffin (main character) and his arch-nemesis the chicken.
It is still unclear how the back accessory will look. If the image files are indeed connected to the back piece, it might be that the scenes will be played on a small TV that can be carried around – but this is just a theory and might not actually appear in the game.
Crossover without a skin?
These doubts exist about the crossover: Although these found files are already a strong hint at a crossover, the question arises as to how the collaboration could take place. Normally, a skin would probably be added that players could purchase.
If a skin were to come, Peter Griffin as the main character of the series would likely be the first choice, but he is also known for his broader body type, which could be problematic in Fortnite. In this form, the skin would be easier to spot and provide a larger target area, making it “Pay2Lose” – which would argue against a skin of Peter Griffin.
However, it remains exciting to see how the crossover might proceed if it actually happens. Whether only a back accessory from the series will come or a skin from Family Guy is added, we will probably see. After all, it is not the only crossover players are still waiting for.
