A leak has already correctly predicted the Next-Gen Remaster of A Plague Tale: Innocence. At the same time, it was also claimed that this game is intended as a free title for PS Plus in July 2021. A Plague Tale: Innocence would thus be a new free title for PlayStation 4 and 5. We at MeinMMO take a look at the leak and reveal what this adventure is all about.
What kind of leak is that? The user Deluxera claimed in a forum thread (via Resetera) on June 11 that
- a Next-Gen Remaster of A Plague Tale: Innocence will be announced.
- with A Plague Tale: Requiem a sequel is supposed to come.
Both statements have been confirmed at the E3 2021.
In a third statement, it was said that the Remaster of A Plague Tale: Innocence would be part of PS Plus in July. It is supposed to be the free game for the PS5.
How likely is that? Currently, everything suggests that Deluxera is right. In addition to the two correct statements, the developer Asobo also supports the assumption. Because the release of the remaster is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6th. New PS Plus games are usually released on the first Tuesday of the month.
Whether A Plague Tale: Innocence will actually be the free game will probably be revealed on June 30th.
An adventure full of emotion
What kind of game is it? A Plague Tale: Innocence is an adventure from 2019. There is a plague of rats in 14th century France. You play as the 14-year-old Amicia who sneaks through the world with her brother Hugo. They have to do this, as neither of them has much strength or armor.
Our colleagues at GameStar tested the game in 2019 and gave it a rating of 84. They particularly praised the emotional stories and the memorable characters. Criticism was directed at the lack of difficulty and low replay value.
