In the season of opulence, Guardians will receive alongside a new hand cannon and the rocket launcher Truth another weapon exotic. And no, it is not a hand cannon for once. Much suggests that the pulse rifle Bad Juju is set to return to Destiny 2 .
About this weapon: More and more points to the fact that the next returnee from Destiny 1 will be the exotic pulse rifle Bad Juju, also known as Bad Juju.
Both a leak and freshly extracted data indicate that we will soon be able to play with this popular pulse rifle in Destiny 2 – and that too this season. However, when exactly is not known.
Finally, something else will return aside from a hand cannon like the Last Word or the Dorn from Destiny 1, many Guardians joke. Because Bungie is known to have a special fondness for this weapon category.
What we know about the potential return of Bad Juju
Where does the information come from? This time, the information comes from two sources:
On one hand, a new leak is currently circulating on Reddit. The author claims to have learned firsthand that this weapon will return as part of Season 7 and how to obtain it. However, he keeps his source hidden.
On the other hand, further details that apparently belong to Bad Juju have now been discovered by the well-known data miner Ginsor while sifting through the game data of Destiny 2.
Note that this is not official information. Enjoy this information with a corresponding amount of caution.
What the two sources say about the return of Bad Juju:
The leak says:
- The leak speaks of a return of the weapon during the season of opulence – but only later on.
- Bad Juju is supposed to be the reward for an upcoming new mission called “The Other Side”.
- The mission takes place aboard the Leviathan, the massive world-eater of the Cabal Emperor, leading players to an ascendant realm. This realm was briefly shown in the trailer for Season 7.
- The story is supposed to continue the narrative surrounding the Dreaming City – similar to how the Whisper mission expanded the story of the Warmind DLC.
- The mission has similar traits to previous secret dungeon missions such as The Zero Hour or The Whisper, but this time there is no timer.
- Instead, there are supposedly more challenging mechanics – comparable to the Broken Throne. However, the mission itself will not be referred to as a dungeon.
What the data miner Ginsor says:
He recently shared on Twitter that he has extracted new data about Bad Juju. Some of this might change when the weapon actually appears.
He has summarized his findings in this graphic:
This shows stats and perks that Bad Juju will likely have in Destiny 2. Ginsor is still unsure about the intrinsic perk.
By the way, some time ago, an in-game icon for an exotic masterwork catalyst was found in the data, unmistakably showing Bad Juju.
What does Bungie say? Bungie has not commented on either the leak or Ginsor’s data so far and probably won’t do so. Players are left with no choice but to wait for now.
Many suspect that the mission for Bad Juju will go live unannounced, just like with Whisper or the Perfected Outbreak. So, an early presentation of the weapon, for example, in the weekly “This Week at Bungie” blog is not to be expected.
What is actually with Hawkmoon? Many Guardians actually expected another hand cannon as a returnee this season. Through a statement from the famous leaker AnonTheNine, some fans actually expected Hawkmoon.
Because Anon said that in Season 7, alongside the Rose, another bird comes back that we all love. Many took that as a clear hint at Hawkmoon.
But lately, fans believe it could also be the legendary hand cannon Falkner that came back with Season 7 and reminds of the Eyasluna from Destiny 1.
So, it could be that some fans are hoping in vain for Hawkmoon. However, the return is still not ruled out. After all, this is all pure speculation. Throughout the season of opulence, we are likely to become wiser over time.
