A leak shows that you might soon be able to build a card deck in Genshin Impact. The mode could arrive with a future update to the action RPG.
What the leak says: In the new mode, you collect your favorite characters and monsters as cards. There are said to be 25 characters and a few monsters, including the Electro Hypostasis. From the collected cards, you form the strongest possible deck. Those who play and collect diligently will also have the chance to obtain golden, special collectible cards.
Where does the leak come from? The information comes from the prominent leaker UBatcha, who tweeted about it. Since UBatcha has been correct frequently in the past, it is likely that the card game mode will actually come to Genshin Impact. The details have not yet been precisely established by the developers, which means that something may still change, according to the user.
Back in August, leaker Mero pointed out that such card game content would soon be coming to the game to make the endgame of Genshin Impact less dry.

What do I use the card deck for? You play against each other in PvP or defeat PvE opponents. For example, you can challenge the NPCs Fischl and Cyno, and some characters even have different difficulty levels. According to rumors, this is weekly content: You can challenge the NPCs every week again and collect rewards.
There should also be challenges in the open world where your card deck comes into play.
It is important to know that this is a leak and not official information from the developers. Therefore, it is possible that something could change before the update is released.
How does the mode work?
- Games are played 1v1.
- The goal is to defeat each card of the opponent.
- In the beginning, you choose 3 characters for the round, one of whom is always the active character.
- A player rolls at the beginning of each turn, determining how much energy they receive to use skills.
- Alternatively, during your turn, you can also change the active character, play a card from your hand, discard a card, or change the element of your elemental die.
- Elements trigger reactions in the opponent. For example, water makes them wet, just like in combat.
- When the energy is depleted, it’s the other player’s turn.
The mode is supposed to be permanently playable in Genshin Impact, not just during an event. Whether the details of the gameplay will change is something we will learn either through future leaks or an official announcement from HoYoverse. We will certainly keep you updated.

- According to Mero, the card deck could come with update 3.1.
- Other rumors suggest that you will only be able to play cards with update 3.3. However, there is currently no date for the updates.
