In Call of Duty: Warzone there could soon be battles on the water. At least that’s what a leaker claims, referring to the new map in CoD Cold War.
This is what a leaker says: The Twitter account ModernWarzone, which regularly shares leaks about Call of Duty, suspects that water vehicles and swimming could soon come to Warzone. The reason for this is supposed to be the map Sanatorium, which will be added to CoD Cold War soon.
The map, or at least parts of it, could soon be added to Warzone, and especially the lake that is located on Sanatorium could play a role.
Water Battles in the Warzone – Reasons for This
Why could it soon take place on the water? This refers to a leak that was already published in December 2020. Back then, data miners found clues about a new map that was supposed to come to Warzone. Among them was also a sanatorium and a large lake. It was exactly the lake that is now visible on the new map of Cold War.
Now the leakers are connecting these two pieces:
- A new map is coming to Cold War that features a large lake
- The lake is already known from the leak about the new Warzone map
- Now the new map in Cold War could also renew the map in the Warzone
If the large lake comes to Warzone, it will be the first time in Battle Royale that you could possibly enter water. So far, there is a dam on the first Warzone map, but the water there is frozen. Verdansk itself is located by the water, but that is outside the playable zone, and you shouldn’t linger there. The new map Rebirth Island has water as well, but it kills players immediately.
However, if a large lake comes that is not frozen, then there could also be water vehicles present. Likewise, swimming could be possible.
What you should consider: So far, this is just a speculation from data miners, who are referring to their leaks. However, it is quite conceivable that the developers will also transfer parts of the new map from Cold War to Warzone, bringing the large lake into the game.
