Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the Battle Royale Warzone will receive another new weapon in Season 5, according to the roadmap. Along with a fresh leak, we now essentially know which one it will be. It appears to be another machine gun.
Season 5 brings new weapons: Traditionally, a new season for CoD: MW and Warzone brings with it at least 3 new weapons. This is also the case in Season 5. Among them, 2 new weapons, the assault rifle AN-94 and the MG ISO, are already known and in the game.
There have been numerous speculations about the third weapon, which is set to follow later in Season 5, with 2 new snipers being touted as candidates. However, now it seems everything points to a different firearm.
What will be the 3rd new weapon of Season 5? The next weapon is almost certain to be a new machine gun.
The upcoming MG is apparently modeled after the Stoner LMG or the Light Assault Machine Gun from Knight’s Armament Company and would further expand the MG range in your arsenal.
Reasons for an MG as the next weapon: On one hand, the weapon is already visible in the roadmap for Season 5. Although it is largely censored there, at the crucial points you can quickly recognize that it is likely this weapon – especially in light of a new leak.
The leak comes again from the well-known and reliable dataminer BKTOOR. He has now discovered a new MG in the game data that is completely finished, but not yet in the game. And it looks very similar to the MG from Knight’s Armament.
When comparing the grip, the magazine, and the back part of the upper attachment rail, one quickly realizes that the leak refers to the same weapon that is also visible on the roadmap.
Furthermore, the leaker himself has now confirmed that the MG is 100% the new weapon from the roadmap.
When will the new MG be in the game? This is not yet officially known. The roadmap only states “in the season”. However, new weapons are usually introduced with the launch of a new season and with the subsequent mid-season update. Since 2 new weapons have already been introduced at the beginning of the season, it is likely that we will finally get our hands on the new MG sometime in the middle of Season 5.
