Today marks the official end of League of Legends Season 6 and the start of Season 7 is just around the corner with many changes – Elementalist Lux skin is apparently one of them! When does the new season start and what does it bring?
- When does the current season in League of Legends end? Season 6 ended today, November 8.
- When does the new season in League of Legends start? Season 7 begins on December 6.
- Today, the rewards for the ranked season 2016 are also distributed.
What changes in Season 7? A lot! Here’s a brief overview:
- Solo/Duo queue is making a comeback. Riot listened to its players and is bringing back the Solo/Duo queue. The Flex queue will remain as well and will offer you different rewards in ranked games at the end of Season 7.
- Sandbox mode and replay feature. A sandbox mode and a replay feature will be introduced. This means you will get a playground to practice champions and game mechanics. The replay feature can help you analyze your played matches to improve.
- New client. Those who wish can soon download the new client. But be careful, it will initially still be in beta phase.
- Interactive plants in the jungle. There will also be significant changes in the jungle, where you will encounter interactive plants that provide either positive or negative effects.
- New protective items. Supports can rejoice as new protective items will be introduced, such as Knight’s Vow and Stoneplate. Some old protective items will be adjusted.
- The entire class of assassins will be adjusted.

Ultimate Skin Elementalist Lux
Additionally, we will welcome a new ultimate skin in Season 7, and it will be quite colorful! Riot released a teaser video today for Elementalist Lux. The skin will have 10 different forms: Light, Nature, Air, Fire, Water, Mystic, Storm, Magma, Ice, and Dark. As usual with ultimate skins, it will cost 3250 RP.
