The patch notes for the new patch 6.4 for League of Legends are ready. We summarize the most important changes to the champs of LoL.
Among other things, as already announced, the Dominion game mode has been removed from the game. Also, the Zz’Rot Portal, which was deactivated during patch 6.3 due to a bug, is now active again. But don’t worry: Udyr has received a hit from the nerf hammer.
Udyr and other movement speed junglers in League of Legends nerfed

Many players were really annoyed in patch 6.3 that junglers simply bought items that provided high movement speed and became “unstoppable” in LoL. Udyr, in particular, was often noted in this context and was even banned in many games. Now Udyr’s turtle stance (W) shield and Udyr’s phoenix stance (R) damage have been nerfed. Also, typical items like boots of swiftness and the rune echo enchantment on the jungler item have been weakened in speed bonus.
It has also been recognized that the buffs/changes for Xin Zhao in the last patch were a bit too strong, and so the scaling of ability power and attack speed bonus of his battle cry (W) have been reduced.
Adjustments for marksmen: Kog’Maw, Ezreal, and Lucian down – Cait, Jhin, Ashe, and Sivir up

Additionally, 3 of the currently most popular marksmen were nerfed in this patch. The base attack speed of Kog’Maw has been reduced (who would have thought?!), so that he might need one more item before he melts opponents. The range of Lucian’s culling (R) has been reduced so that he can no longer comfortably spread his damage from the second row, but must position himself a bit closer to the enemy.
For Ezreal, the cooldown of his ability arcane barrage (R) has been significantly increased. Because let’s be honest, the yellow giant banana was really very frequently on the map.
Caitlyn received a buff with this patch, as the cooldown of her caliber 90 net (E) has been reduced and the damage of her headshots (passive), when triggered by a yordle trap (W), is now calculated based on a scaling base value instead of proportionally.
Jhin received minor buffs to his base stats shortly after his release, but has now been adjusted so that his deadly flourish (W) and his curtain call (R) count as single-target attacks against champions. This allows for more synergy with the touch of deathfire (mastery).
Sivir’s ricochet (W) can now critically hit targets. This is a very strong buff for Sivir that can change the outcome of a team fight entirely. Additionally, Ashe can rejoice a bit in this patch 6.4. Her ranger focus (Q) is now active for 5 seconds instead of 4. Furthermore, she no longer completely loses her focus increases after not attacking for 4 seconds; instead, these increases decrease by 1 every 4 seconds.
The top lane is not spared from the nerf hammer either

Gankplank, Fiora, and Malphite, who were particularly popular in patch 6.3, have been adjusted in the game.
Those who followed the game TSM vs. Cloud 9 will have seen what a powerhouse Gankplank can become. He now receives less gold from his parrrlay (Q) and can now only place a maximum of 3 barrels (E) at once on each level, which is no longer modified by his cannon barrage (R).
For Fiora, the cooldown of her counter ability (W) has been increased in the early game, and blade dance (E) has been changed so that the cooldown now does not start immediately upon use, but only after the second hit. Malphite now has less base health regeneration and the damage of his ground slam (E) has been reduced.
Change to the mastery Bloodlust of the Warlord – Greetings to all Olaf fans in LoL

This mastery previously had little to do with Olaf, as it referred to critical hits against champions. However, this key mastery has now been changed to the point where it has become almost a “must” for Olaf. The notes now state (in addition to the healing and attack speed on critical hits) that attacks against champions now provide up to 20% lifesteal, depending on how much health the own champion is missing. This effect is halved against minions.
For those who don’t know: Olaf’s passive ability grants him 1% attack speed bonus for every 1% of lost health. The strong synergy of the mastery with his passive ability is therefore quite evident.
Champion select – Finally, you can see your own champions

One point that many players in League of Legends (rightly!) complained about was that during other players selecting their champions, their own champion grid was not accessible. That has now changed, and the champion grid is accessible at all times during champion select. Furthermore, you can now change your champion wish at any time, and opponents can no longer see it when it is your turn. Oh, and very importantly: The game now remembers which skin you played last and sets it as default for the next game!
Of course, these were not all the points of the patch notes for League of Legends patch 6.4. You can read the entire package on the official LoL website. Here are the patch notes.
What do you think of the changes? Which champion has been hit too hard or too soft?
