The LoL player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok has achieved everything in his career in League of Legends . Now he has reached a new peak of fame: he will be made into a small figure with a huge head.
This is the latest honor for Faker: The Korean superstar has managed to have the company “Super Play” turn him into a collectible figure.
The Faker figure wears the red SKT1 jacket from 2016 and shows Faker in his typical pose: arms crossed and staring blankly with huge glasses.
It is a so-called “SD Figure,” where “SD” stands for “Super Deformed,” as the figure plays with proportions and caricatures the celebrities by placing a huge head on a slender body.
The figure is 11cm tall and 5.5cm wide. It costs $33.
According to the site dexerto, the statue now makes Faker the first LoL player to have such a super deformed figure as a model.
The company’s shop offers numerous accessories for the top LoL teams from Asia: for SKT1, KT Rolster, Gen. G. and KZ Dragon-X. In addition to hoodies, t-shirts, and jackets, there are also mouse pads, a mug, a bag, and all sorts of other gimmicks.
Why is Faker so special in LoL? The Korean is considered an exceptional player in League of Legends, a game that has been popular and extremely competitive for years.
Every year, hundreds of new players push for the few professional spots.
But Faker has managed to stay at the top for years. Even though critics recently claimed he and his team are too old.
There are numerous stories and discussions about Faker, some of Faker’s plays in League of Legends are legendary.
He led his team SKT 1 Telecom to three world championships and has long been regarded as the best midlaner or even the best LoL player in the world.
He remains relatively expressionless during his actions. The few emotional outbursts, however, make Faker’s story even bigger.
