The MOBA League of Legends has promised to create an artificial reef off the east coast of Australia. They are good for nature and biodiversity.
Nautilus does not exactly look like someone who recycles or cares about the environment at first glance, more like someone who has heard about recycling and spreads tetanus. The guy drags around a rusty anchor and seems like a stranded oil tanker. But the players from Down Under have chosen Nautilus and not Nami or Fizz to model for the artificial reef that Riot Games wants to set up on the east coast of Australia.
For this, a marine biologist has already been contacted, and they are working with a company specialized in this. These artificial coral reefs are good for the environment. Riot Games wants to be more present in Oceania now, has recently launched a league, and apparently wants to do something for the environment.
The reef is now the result of a week-long campaign in the game, the Ocean Week – one of the stretch goals was “If you score this many points, we will build a reef.” The whole thing is, as you can imagine, a larger project and it will take some time until completion.
