Today, the random URF mode starts in League of Legends. Here’s what you need to know about the mode.
ARURF is the URF mode with a large portion of randomness. There is also a 80% cooldown reduction and an infinite mana reserve. However, you no longer choose the champion you want to play. Randomness decides which champion you will play in the Summoner’s Rift. You have the chance to try this mode until Monday morning.
ARURF – Urf with Randomness
As already mentioned, this game mode is played in the Summoner’s Rift. The randomness principle in champion selection works like in ARAM – the system selects from the champions you own and the weekly champion rotation. Like in ARAM, you also have a chance to use a reroll in ARURF to get assigned a different champion. The rerolls are shared with those from ARAM. The recharge of rerolls has been increased, so you receive a new charge after 1 to 2 games.
Penalty Times: The penalties after leaving an ARURF game in champion selection have been increased. Now, there are 10- and 20-minute bans for ARURF and normal queues after dodging. This is particularly due to the fact that dodging after a random selection is considered cowardly and unnecessarily prolongs the game for other players. If you are unhappy with your champion, you can trade with other players from your team during the champion selection.
In this mode, you can earn champion mastery points and also have the chance to obtain chests and keys for Hextech Crafting.
