Developer RiotGames has announced a new event for its game League of Legends (LoL) that includes plenty of reading material for fans.
After the last major lore event, the Bilgewater event, LoL is again focusing on a lot of background story of the champions. The feedback from players during the Bilgewater event was so positive that Riot wants to continue with Targon.
Targon is the most powerful mountain in Runeterra. It lies far from any civilization and is difficult to reach. Only with the utmost determination can traveling heroes reach this place, which some legends refer to as the dwellings of gods who fell from the sky. In other legends, it is said that this mountain could be a sleeping titan from ancient times. Could this perhaps be a hint at a new champion?
In the original English text, the word “Imbued” is often mentioned. Now you might be wondering “um… yes and?” Taric’s Q ability “Verzaubern” is called “Imbue” in English. The repeated wording in the text is therefore likely no coincidence, which probably confirms the Taric rework in the near future!
Room for two more events for the event “The Targon” in League of Legends
As can be seen in the picture, RiotGames is still leaving space for two more sections in this special event. Perhaps this will involve additional lore of the heroes in League of Legends or champion reworks/releases. It is possible that there will already be first information about the new dragon champion “Aurelion Sol”.
