On Twitch, WoW Classic has been trending for some time: some of the biggest streamers are hanging out in the guild OnlyFangs and playing WoW Classic in hardcore mode on a new server. The catch: any mistake has serious consequences. Now, one of the most experienced WoW players, Sodapoppin, has failed miserably. The WoW newcomer Tyler1, known for League of Legends, sees his chance.
This was the tragic moment: Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris has been a WoW player since the beginning. When Blizzard announced WoW Classic back then, it was a great opportunity for the huge US streamer. He even slept in the game in 2019.
Sodapoppin is behind the OnlyFangs project and leads the streamer guild. As the most experienced player and alpha wolf, he calls the shots, often getting into situations with streamers who are big but have no idea about WoW – like the terrible xQc – or he has to put Pokimane in her place.
Sodapoppin is known for his dry humor and enjoys watching clips of inexperienced streamers dying in WoW Classic. But now, he has met his match; during a botched pull in the “Stratholme” instance, his level 60 character, Thetusk, died.
His hour has come:
Sodapoppin loses hardcore character due to a bad pull
What are the implications? The death of the key character of OnlyFangs has significant implications for the plans of the guild. The character was actually intended to be the tank for the upcoming raids.
Tyler1 immediately complained: “Now we have to wait until May to raid.”
Sodapoppin could hardly believe this stupid death and sat in front of the screen like a statue.
LoL troll celebrates and mocks after his boss’s failure
Who is rejoicing? The LoL streamer Tyler1 laughed and had fun immediately: For him, it’s clear: The fool simply can’t do it. He calls his guild leader “Sodapussy” and takes on the role of the tank himself.
While other guild members speak sadly and reverently about Sodapoppin’s failure, Tyler1 brays euphorically into the camera. “The guy can’t play WoW, exactly what he’s known for, he can’t do it. The guy is crying, the guy is crying!”
How does Sodapoppin react? He first has to gather himself and creates a new character. He says a lot of his life has just been washed away. It’s entirely his fault; he will now work hard to get back on track.
The planned outing has been canceled for now: he has to grind again.
Tyler1 shows his boss how to do the pull correctly
This is what Tyler1 says: He says Sodapoppin doesn’t need to rush. He will take over the tanking. He leisurely takes charge and shows “how it’s done right” and how to execute the pull “correctly.”
Ultimately, Sodapoppin’s example shows that no matter how many years of experience you have in WoW, if you don’t take a pull seriously and have a little Leeroy Jenkins moment, you will pay for it. That’s the appeal of this hardcore server. Tyler1 is once again a terrible person in this clip, but that’s the role he plays. In reality, the man is more sensible than he shows here, at least somewhat. LoL: Twitch streamer describes his life as a lonely grind hell – wonders what everyone else has
