The developers confirm a PS4 version of LawBreakers. The game will not be free-to-play but will receive free updates without a season pass.
LawBreakers is set to be released for PS4 and PC later this year. This was recently confirmed by the developer Boss Key Productions, who also revealed more interesting information about the game. It will no longer be free-to-play as originally planned but will be available for a one-time purchase price. Thus, there will be no season pass or pay-to-win content, and instead, players will receive free updates.
LawBreakers Release in 2017 – Price around 30 Dollars
Set in a futuristic world where the moon mysteriously exploded, LawBreakers is a fast-paced, team-based first-person shooter with many different characters that fully exploits the “The floor is lava” principle. Flying characters defy gravity and can navigate the maps with triple jumps.
As the developers explain, there will also be a PS4 version with “PS4 Pro” support in addition to the PC version. The shooter will be released this year and will not include discs, as they are considered “totally outdated.” LawBreakers will only be available as a digital version for PC and PS4.
The original idea to launch the game as “free-to-play” has been discarded. Instead, it will cost $29.99 as a one-time purchase price. There will be no season pass and no pay-to-win content that could ruin matchmaking. The developers came to this conclusion because they listened to the community and want to achieve the best for the players and the game.
There will be micro-transactions in LawBreakers to purchase cosmetic items.
We do not want to ruin our player base with season pass nonsense or destroy matchmaking with “pay-to-win” bonuses. We want to create a gaming ecosystem where talented players compete under equal conditions and provide an environment that motivates average players to improve.
There will be no cross-play between the two announced platforms, where PC players can play with PS4 players. On the PS4, LawBreakers should be playable at 60 FPS.
An Xbox One version could be released in the future. However, there are currently no concrete plans for that.
