LawBreakers starts today on PC in open beta. This allows everyone to download and play the hero shooter with the crazy gravity for free. Later, the game is planned to be Buy2Play.
The hero shooter LawBreakers is a PvP game where you play as either the law enforcers or lawless villains in a post-apocalypse. In this world, the moon has exploded, and since then, gravity has gone crazy. This also applies to the maps in the game, where strange gravity phenomena occur. Therefore, it can happen that you suddenly lose the ground beneath your feet in LawBreakers. Additionally, you can use gravity offensively against enemies.
Anyone who wants to try out the fast-paced gameplay and weightlessness of LawBreakers can start playing the open beta on PC today, June 30, 2017.
LawBreakers – Open Beta Free2Play, Release Version Buy2Play
In the open beta of LawBreakers, all PC players can try the hero shooter for free. But only until July 5. Then the beta will end. The release version is scheduled for August 8 (for both PC and PS4), which is now planned as a Buy2Play title. The reason for this decision was that the developers at Boss Key do not want to unnecessarily split the player base.
For example, if a player has a specific map pack DLC and then cannot play with those who do not have it. The Buy2Play version is supposed to include all contents and be the same for all players. The release version is expected to cost 29.99 euros.
The beta is therefore also a kind of demo version. Additionally, it includes a new map called “Vertigo” and a related new game mode called “Uplink”. In this mode, you must securely bring the namesake Uplink to your base and defend it for as long as possible.
LawBreakers – No campaign planned for now
LawBreakers will be a pure PvP game without a solo campaign. For the future, however, the developers do not want to exclude this possibility, as the game contains a lot of lore and story content. For example, one of the playable characters is responsible for the state of the moon in the game.
