There are harsh words from LawBreakers head Cliff Bleszinski. He is not interested in what the press says. He continues to make LawBreakers for his fans.
So far, things are not going well for the low-gravity shooter “LawBreakers”. After the official launch, only a few players were interested in buying the shooter. The concurrent users on PC dropped to as low as 10 players.
The low player numbers deter potential players so much that they decide against making a purchase. It’s a vicious circle.
However, the LawBreakers head does not want to know what the press is writing. He continues to pursue his goal.

The gaming press is getting on Cliff Bleszinski’s nerves. In an interview with Gamesindustry, “Cliffy B” was asked about the current state of affairs regarding LawBreakers. It has become apparent in recent weeks that his shooter is not running quite right. Low player numbers make it hard for the shooter to attract new audiences. A free-to-play model for LawBreakers is still not off the table.
However, Bleszinski does not want to hear anything from the gaming press and its reports about his game. They aim to focus on the failure of a game. In the interview, he states: “[The gaming press] just wants clicks, man. They just want to make money with their ads. We will continue to do our thing and they can print whatever they want. As far as I’m concerned, they can fuck off! We will continue to make the game for our fans.”
Bleszinski continues to emphasize that LawBreakers just needs to reach enough concurrent players. Then the matchmaking will run faster and more reliably than before – which will bring more fun.
With the currently limited community, the developers often engage with them and share updates. The goal is to grow the small community. The head is confident that LawBreakers is not bad. “Everyone who has played it loves it. Looking at the Steam reviews, we are at nearly 90% positive reviews.”
He is not entirely wrong about the Steam reviews: 82% of the 3291 total reviews for LawBreakers are positive. However, the recent reviews from the last 30 days are only “mixed” and 58% positive. In the reviews, it is stated that the game is dead and should finally become “free-to-play” to have a chance at a good future.
