Star Wars Battlefront 2 is launching the first free DLC “The Last Jedi”. In it, you get new weekly challenges. Later, the new heroes Finn and Captain Phasma, additional maps, vehicles, and a new single-player mission will be introduced.
As announced by EA, the DLC expansions for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will all be available for free. In the first game, you had to pay every time, but for the second game, EA does not want to unnecessarily split the player base.
The first of the announced free DLCs is called “The Last Jedi” and brings content from the upcoming movie.
Update: As of today, December 13, 2017, the missing content from the Last Jedi season is now in the game and can be downloaded. Have fun with Finn, Phasma, and the new maps. The new heroes are, by the way, available for free to all players and do not have to be painstakingly grinded out. Very commendable!
Select your side and complete challenges
On December 5, 2017, the first season of the Last Jedi DLC starts. When you start Star Wars: Battlefront 2 now, a window will open first, in which you must clearly declare your allegiance. Will you fight for the brave freedom fighters of the Resistance or for the totalitarian First Order?
Choose wisely, as the choice is not expected to be reversible for the rest of the season. Then, complete six weekly challenges for your faction in multiplayer mode to earn points and one Star Card booster loot box per week.
At the end of the season, there will be special epic loot boxes for the upcoming new heroes Finn (Resistance) or Captain Phasma (First Order), if you’ve completed all challenges. If your faction has recorded more victories overall, there will be even more loot!
Don’t worry, you can still play any faction and mode freely. Your faction choice only matters for the challenges.
More content for the “Last Jedi Season” on December 13
More content for the “Last Jedi Season” will be released later in December. Since the corresponding movie will only be released on December 14, a large part of the content will only be available on December 13. This includes:
- The new heroes Finn and Captain Phasma
- The new Galactic Assault map Crait
- The Starfighter Assault map D’Qar
- New vehicles like Tallie’s A-Wing
- A new mission for the solo campaign focused on the rise of the First Order.
Lastly, developer DICE has significantly increased the credit rewards in Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
