In Last Epoch, you specifically farm loot with the prophecies in the Circle of Fortune. How they work and what you need for it can be found here on MeinMMO.
The Circle of Fortune and the Trader Guild are the two factions in Last Epoch. They offer players two different options to specifically obtain better equipment for their builds. Especially for those who like to farm and complete quests “on their own”, the Circle is well suited.
How do I join the Circle of Fortune? In the Circle of Fortune (also known as CoF), you use the mechanics of the prophecies to specifically farm certain types of items. There are two different options to join the CoF. In any case, you must reach the upper district of Maj’Elka in Act 9 of the campaign.
- You play the main story up to this point.
- You take the detour through the dungeons in Last Epoch to open a shortcut to Chapter 9.
In Act 9, you will meet the NPC Zerrick. After he gives you some information about the two factions, you can familiarize yourself with the factions. To join the CoF, go to the Observatory.
How to Use the Prophecies
How do I use the prophecies? In the Observatory, you will find the NPC Galila, the faction trader, and the NPC Sandrak, who will explain the prophecies to you. You will also receive the quest to complete a prophecy.
In the back area of the Observatory, you will find four telescopes. They represent certain types of drops:
- North (Arctus Telescope): Armors
- East (Eos Telescope): Weapons
- South (Mesembrius Telescope): Rings, Amulets
- West (Dysis Telescope): Idols, Runes, Keys, Shards
At the telescopes, you have the opportunity to switch between item types, so you do not need to run back and forth. The “currency” for the prophecies is Favor, which you collect for the faction after joining the CoF.
You choose a constellation at the telescope and then a prophecy that corresponds to an item drop, such as daggers, body armor, or shards for crafting. Some prophecies are tied to conditions, such as specific timelines or points in the campaign.
Once you have selected a prophecy, it appears in your faction overview and is essentially a quest. After completing the quest, you receive the drop and the prophecy is fulfilled.
What kind of quests are these? As a quest, you will be tasked with defeating a specific type of enemy (such as “Banished Mages”) in the open world, in an arena, or in a specific dungeon. It may also be that you have to kill a campaign boss for the drop.
The enemies related to the prophecies are somewhat robust. If you are having trouble in combat, it could be due to certain stats:
Changing and Influencing Prophecies with Lenses
Can I change the prophecies? You can change and influence the prophecies. To change them, you roll a new constellation with favor. With the lenses you buy from the faction shop, you influence the prophecies regarding drop chance or conditions.
The lenses are divided into “Regional Lenses” that increase drop chances at specific telescopes and “Greater Lenses” that relate to more general chances and events. “Regional Lenses” require rank 2 and cost 350 favor, while “Greater Lenses” require different ranks and cost between 500 and 1,250 favor.
Possible examples of “Regional Lenses”:
- 10% increased chance per rank to find helmets
- 15% increased chance per rank to find large idols
- 20% increased chance per rank to find bows
Possible examples of “Greater Lenses”:
- 100% reduced chance for prophecies to have arena/monolithic/dungeon events
- 100% reduced chance for prophecies to have campaign events
- 90% higher costs for all prophecies, but they offer double rewards upon completion
- 15% increased chance per rank to find unique items
- 15% increased chance per rank to find set items
To use the lenses, you must increase your rank in the Circle by collecting and exchanging favor. The higher your rank in the CoF, the more lens slots you can utilize – there are a total of three lens slots and 10 ranks in the faction. Rank 10 duplicates the items from drops through prophecies.
Tip: You do not always need to carry the lenses with you, you can simply store them in the stash in the area where the telescopes are located and take them into your inventory as needed. The lenses do not disappear after use.

How do I collect favor? You mainly receive favor by completing quests and by killing enemies. Collected favor can be exchanged for prophecies or items at the faction trader. These activities within the faction earn you reputation, which in turn increases your rank in the faction.
