In Last Epoch, there are various contents that you can engage with in the endgame. We summarize in an overview what there is to do and how to start the activities.
This is the endgame in Last Epoch:
- You level up in Last Epoch to level 100. However, the endgame begins already around level 50 after the campaign.
- The endgame currently consists roughly of three activities: Monoliths, Dungeons, and the Arena.
- The “Monolith of Fate” is the starting point for part of the endgame in Last Epoch with its timelines.
The endgame in Last Epoch currently includes three activities. Starting with the Monoliths is certainly a good choice to get into the endgame content with your character. We list the activities in an overview so you can decide what you want to start with and know what you need for the individual contents.

The Monolith of Fate
Where can I find the Monolith? Within the campaign, you reach the map section “End of Time” with the same-named waypoint on the main island. There you will also find the “Monolith of Fate”, which includes 10 timelines. The timelines, structured like networks, each have a fixed level, their own layouts, enemies, and quests.
How does the activity proceed? In the timelines, you find a floating item that you can interact with – as on the first timeline called “Fall of the Exiled”. Through the item, you reach a map with the “Echoes”. These are small “islands” where you complete quests to fill the stability of the timeline.
There, you can also farm for loot – a player has created a map for this. However, if you die in an Echo or leave it early, you will not receive any Echo rewards.
Your goal is to increase the stability of the timeline to tackle the three quest Echoes. Upon completion of the third and final quest, you will always receive a blessing that grants you permanent bonuses. After that, the timeline is complete, and you can move on.
What level does the activity have? The level of the first timeline starts at level 58, so it is advisable to first complete the campaign to be strong enough. If you successfully complete a timeline, you unlock the next ones, which in turn have a higher level.
Completing the first three timelines of level 90 unlocks empowered versions of all 10 timelines. The levels of the empowered timelines scale infinitely. They are suitable for testing the limits of your build while also providing better drop rates and more experience.
With “Corruption”, you increase the level of the normal and empowered timelines. To do this, you have to move away from the Echo center until you encounter the “Shadow of Orobyss”. If you defeat him, the corruption of the timeline increases, along with the rarity of items received, the XP gained, and the stability gained.

The Dungeons
Where can I find the dungeons? In Last Epoch, there are three dungeons that you enter with keys. You receive the keys through the campaign and other endgame activities.
- Lightless Grove in the Ruins Age in Welryn
- Soulfire Bastion in the Imperial Age in Thetima
- The Temporal Sanctum in the Ruins Age on the Ruined Coast
On each key, there is a kind of direction note, but you cannot teleport directly into the dungeon with it. By right-clicking on the key, the map opens, so you can either walk from a nearby waypoint or teleport to the dungeon if you have been there before.
How does the activity proceed? In the dungeons, unique mechanics and several sections await you, structured like a maze. To reach the dungeon boss, you first have to carve your way through the individual sections.
At the end of a section, a door awaits you that increases the difficulty and the rewards when you pass through. After defeating the boss, you can collect your loot in a room and leave the dungeon. However, if you die or leave the dungeon early, the attempt fails.
What else are the dungeons good for? In the Temporal Sanctum, you can also craft legendary items if you are already there. After you defeat the dungeon boss and reach the next room, you will see the “Eternity Shrine”, where you craft legendary items by combining uniques with “exalted” items (purple). The uniques must have “legendary potential” for this.
Completing the dungeons allows you to skip certain parts of the campaign. Many players choose the alternative routes, who find leveling a character with the campaign too time-consuming.
What level does the activity have? Each of the three dungeons has four difficulty levels from which you can choose, with level 4 being the most difficult but also the most rewarding. Thus, it applies: the higher the dungeon level, the better the loot. Generally, you must first complete the lower levels to be able to select the higher levels.

The Arena
Where can I find the Arena? Similar to the dungeons, you also need a key to access this endgame activity. The Arena is located at the waypoint “Gate of Champions” behind the “Wengari Fortress” in the Divine Age.
There is also a waypoint here, so don’t forget to activate it as soon as you’re at the Gate of Champions. Through the large red portal, you “open” the arena and start the pass by inserting the key. If you die or leave the arena early, the attempt fails.
How does the activity proceed? Here too, you choose a level like in the dungeon. After that, you enter the arena – a small map where waves of enemies spawn. After every 5 waves, there is a break, and you receive loot. After every 10 waves, you choose a modifier and change the map.
After defeating 40 waves of enemies, the Arena Champion spawns. If you kill him, you will receive loot on the spot. There is no additional room or extra chest for completion. After that, you leave the arena and are automatically teleported back to the Gate of Champions.
What level does the activity have? Before the arena starts, you choose a level. In our case, the first level was level 50, and there are a total of five levels. The last level is the “Endless Arena” which is a mode with unlimited waves that become increasingly difficult.
The strongest arena runs appear on the leaderboards in Last Epoch. However, the lists are only available in online play within a cycle. The arena is the only competitive content in the game.
