For collectors of artifact weapon skins, the last chance has come. For a few weeks, the Mage Tower in WoW is permanently active.
Already a few weeks ago, Blizzard announced it, and now the promise has been fulfilled. The Mage Tower of World of Warcraft on the Broken Shore is permanently active. Until the release of Patch 8.0, all players can try to obtain their special appearances for the artifact weapons. Yesterday, there was an error, so the Mage Tower was not active on EU servers. However, Blizzard quickly pushed out a hotfix.
The Mage Tower is located in the area of the Broken Shore. Normally, players have to gather resources to build the tower. Then the tower is active for three days and allows players to undertake the particularly difficult challenges. This restriction was lifted with the maintenance. Until the release of Patch 8.0, the pre-patch for Battle for Azeroth, access to the Mage Tower quests can now be permanently gained.
Costs in Nether Shards remain. However, there is another hurdle. Only the first attempt at the Mage Tower is free. If you fail, each subsequent attempt must be paid for with 100 Nether Shards.
By the way, an additional boost for your character was available if you completed the latest quest from Magni. Then your artifact weapon is automatically at Level 126!
If you want to unlock all the skins of the artifact weapon, you will have to put in some serious effort. Because there are a total of 36 different skins, one for each specialization. However, many challenges are identical. Tanks share the same quest, and there are only a few missions for healers.
The Mage Tower is active until the release of Patch 8.0. There is no official date for it yet, but early hints and speculations point to July 18.
