Just as The Division 2 announces the new expansion, the admin of the German fan site Mydivision.net has announced that the site will be shut down. No new articles will be published, and the site will go offline completely at the end of March.
Here’s why the site is closing: As the admin, Jackennils, states in a blog post, he has been running the fan site alone since February 2014, for over 6 years, even though he has always referred to the site with a “we”.
The admin says he founded the site out of passion, but the hobby project Mydivision.net has become a cumbersome obligation in recent months.
It’s not that he no longer enjoys the game, but he would now like to have more time for other things in his life.
The admin says that in the last 6 years he has invested a lot of time and heart into the website, written a thousand articles, continuously updated over 100 pages, managed the social media channels, and organized the technical aspects. The end of Mydivision.net is hard for him now, but it is the right decision.
With the release of Episode 3, the last major update for The Division 2 Year 1, it is now time to say goodbye.
The admin thanks the visitors for their support. He will continue to play The Division, but only as an agent without a role.
