Hybe is one of the leading entertainment companies from South Korea and celebrates great success in the music industry with artists like BTS. Now, they are taking a leap into the gaming industry with their subsidiary Hybe IM in collaboration with the developer Flint and presenting their first mobile MMORPG “Astra – Knights of Veda”. The trailer showcases a game that you can definitely add to your watchlist.
What is it about? Summoned by the tyrannical King Magnus, a dark plague ravages the world of Planis. A giant death tree grows from the earth, causing those within its bloom’s range to either devour their own allies or turn into horrific monsters.
As the chosen champion of the goddess Veda, you will stand against this evil together with other fearless Veda knights. You are the only ones who can restore normality to this world.
Whether you assemble a team of 4 heroes or cooperate with other players, the choice is yours. But keep in mind that each hero comes with different abilities that you must strengthen and utilize properly to defeat the monsters and bosses.
When will it be released? A specific release date is not yet known, but the launch is still planned for this year. More news has already been announced for the gamescom.
The game will be available for iOS, Android, and PC.
Action-packed battles without sensory overload
What does the trailer show? The trailer primarily presents the 2D combat style of the game and promises smooth and exciting battles with everything seen so far. The combat scenes offer a good amount of effects without overwhelming the senses.
It is already clear from the trailer that each character has unique abilities and combat styles. From sword-swinging knights to archers and magic users, the trailer showcases everything that makes a promising MMORPG.
Character upgrades seem to be fully in your hands as a player. As shown in the trailer, materials such as various rings are used for this purpose. Whether these are used as upgrade material or as equipment is not yet clearly recognizable at this point.
In addition, you will get a glimpse into the cooperation with other players and NPCs. Through a chat feature, you can exchange messages with other players or simply send a few funny stickers.
In your interactions with NPCs, different response options are available to you. However, how these decisions affect the plot is not revealed in the trailer.
