A major wipe is coming for Landmark, after which a patch will follow.
24 to 48 hours are planned for the wipe, maintenance, and applying the patch at Landmark. It is supposed to be the penultimate one. The final wipe, where almost everything in the world will be reset, is expected to occur just before the launch.
The world of Landmark will be reset to almost zero with the wipe starting on Monday, March 21, at around 6 PM. Characters, guilds, buildings, and even the claims will disappear. It is expected that when the servers come back online, things will be different. New landscapes will be introduced, the claims will be significantly larger and players will have control over monsters and NPCs, allowing them to tell their own stories.

It should start running again no earlier than Tuesday evening, at the latest Wednesday evening.
A large FAQ on what to expect during such a wipe can be found here. Landmark is currently still in “Closed Beta”, which can be accessed by purchasing founder packages. Many have been waiting for an Open Beta since 2014. It seems that there were other plans—certainly with financial considerations as well. The launch is now expected in the spring, after Everquest Next, the original mother project of Landmark, is no longer being developed.
